Thanks Troy. Well it’s been occurring to me lately that too often people after being hurt many times shut down and are afraid to love again. I refuse to be that way. It’s like Shakespeare said. “It’s better to love and lost then never to have loved at all”. Also, as human beings God put us here to love and care for each other. It’s our nature. The Devil wants us to be miserable so that fear comes from him. Also love is pain. It’s two sides of the same coin. Sometimes you can love someone so much that it hurts or we fear losing that person so much. I now look at all my past loves that I am no longer with and the pain I went thru as part of the human experience. I also know from that experience that we can come out of that pain or grief a better person. That’s what this poem is about.
